Rollmaster is a mobile-friendly web application designed to roll a dice and look up the results on the critical attack tables for the new playtest version of the Rolemaster RPG. For those of you who don’t know what that means, Rolemaster is a game that has you roll lots of dice and has lots of tables for looking up what happens. It’s a neat system. It’s fun to look things up sometimes. For the times you want to hurry up, Rollmaster will do it for you.

Needless to say, if you’re not familiar with Rolemaster, the instructions on how to use this aren’t going to make any sense.

When you hit the page, simply click the “Critical” tab to get started. On the page will be a set of fields and buttons:

  • Manual roll: This is your dice. If you leave it blank, the app will roll dice for you using the Mersenne Twister method of randomizing. If you fill it in with a value of 1-100, the app will use that as a result for the times you want to use your lucky dice.
  • Bonus/penalty: This is a simple modifier to the dice roll before calculating the result.
  • Table dropdown: This is the selector for which Rolemaster critical table you want to roll against. It defaults to Acid, but has the full set of critical tables to select from.
  • A/B/C/D/E buttons: These are the critical severity letters. For example, if you needed to roll a C Slash critical, you’d click the C button. This will actually roll the dice and tell you the result.
